New Nielson data says that Americans watch an average of 34 hours of television per week. Is it time to re-think your priorities if you watch television for almost the same amount of time as you spend at your full-time job?

You know you watch too much TV when you long to see your favorite commercial again, and get angry when it finally stops running;you know every Frasier rerun by heart; you are already sad because you know that your favorite current show will end someday.

And an anonymous listener from Massachussetts texted to say:

You know you watch too much TV when you tell stories about the lives of characters as if they were your close friends.
