Anchor Lisa Mullins has the latest on what’s happening in the world’s financial markets.
(The markets have not been good all week and they haven’t been exuberant in receiving these initiatives. How come?) We need to understand that the common man and experts are finding this difficult to understand. With each bit of news that more cash is being injected by governments, investors hear two things: oh that’s good, they’re lowering interest rates, but the other is, oh they must really think things are bad. Of course it’s going to be a matter of some frustration for the central bankers, but I don’t see any way out of it. (Will global financial systems always follow each other?) Markets are intertwined and they’ve become much more so over time.
