Summer music: Sharon Van Etten’s mixtape

We’re celebrating summer music here on The Takeaway. Throughout the month, we’ll be talking with different musicians about what songs say summer to them. Our guest today is New Jersey-raised and Brooklyn-based singer and songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Sharon recently toured Europe with The National, played a series of shows for the South By Southwest music conference, and finished up a 25-stop North American tour.
