In the world of politics, we’ve come to expect many things from our presidential candidates: bus tours, baby kissing, political posturing, the occasional scandal, and of course, the candidate’s memoir. Blame John F. Kennedy, or blame President Obama. Either way, the candidate’s memoir has become commonplace. Of this season’s Republican front-runners, all but Michele Bachmann have published memoirs, and she announced her book contract late last month.
