Starbucks barista kidnapped, raped and killed, court told

A man has faced court, charged with the kidnap, rape and murder of Whitney Heichel, 21, who vanished on her way to her morning shift at Starbucks, in Oregon, last week.

ABC News reported the body of Heichel, was found last Friday and her neighbor, Jonathan Holt, 24, was arrested.

Holt, who was also a member of the same Jehovah's Witness church, appeared via closed-circuit television in Clackamas County court wearing an anti-suicide outfit and crying yesterday.

Heichel, of Gresham, vanished last week after kissing her husband goodbye and leaving for her morning shift at a nearby Starbucks.

Q13 Fox News said that court documents stated Holt admitted to waiting outside her apartment, asking for a ride and then threatening her with a gun. He drove to an area where he allegedly sexually assaulted her before shooting her. 

Heichel's car, with the passenger side window smashed, was found at a Walmart six hours later, the Huffington Post reported.

A massive search ended when her body was found in a mountian area, 40 minutes from her home. 

Court documents released Monday accused Holt of committing kidnapping, sodomy and robbery. An autopsy found she died from multiple gunshot wounds.
