After a woman went missing on September 22, her boyfriend told Houston police that he could return to Houston for another interview with investigators a week later, on Sunday. Why Sunday? Because first he had go to Los Angeles to be on the Dr. Phil show on Friday. There's no business like show business.
Mark Augustin Castellano, a 37-year-old computer technician, confessed to murdering his girlfriend Michelle Warner in his Sunday police interview and is now facing charges, the Associated Press reported. He also mentioned that he taped an interview for Dr. Phil before the confession. "I thought he was kidding, but it was the real deal," Houston Det. Fil Waters told the AP.

In his Dr. Phil interview, Castellano apparently said the same story he had originally told police, that his girlfriend walked out of their apartment after a fight and never returned, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Warner's relatives also went on the "Dr. Phil" show, desperate for answers about the case, KHOU reported. They got their answer when Castellano finally admitted his gruesome killing to investigators. “It’s still heartbreaking, but I’m happy her family has closure and that we have closure and hopefully there will be answers,” family friend Becky Barclay told KHOU.
