‘We Are Not Numbers’: Palestinians grapple with death
In the past 14 months, Israeli forces have killed thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. In displacement camps, at hospitals, in lines outside bakeries, death is everywhere. As a result, people have been forced to think about, and prepare, for death. Some have been writing their wills on their phones, others write poems about their last day. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
