In Denmark, there seems to be a porridge for every occasion. A quintessential part of the Christmas diet in the Scandinavian country is a rice porridge called risengrød. The dish hearkens back to a time when rice was a luxury in the Scandinavian country, says restaurateur Lasse Andersen.
