This year marked the end of the latest El Niño, a climate event that warmed the Pacific Ocean and played a role in 2024 becoming the hottest year on record. This winter, a La Niña could begin. The World’s Host Carolyn Beeler speaks to Chris Callahan, a climate scientist at Stanford University. He joined the show from Palo Alto, California.
