Today, India inaugurated its first private military aircraft plant. Established in partnership with Airbus Spain, the plant is part of the country’s long-term goal of reducing its reliance on foreign defense manufacturing. India has been the world’s top arms importer in recent years, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
