On-air protest

The name Marina Ovsyannikova may not be familiar to you, but you probably have heard about what she did. Ovsyannikova is an employee of the Russian state T-V station “Channel One.” On Monday, she interrupted a live news broadcast holding a hand-lettered sign protesting the war in Ukraine. She was in court on Tuesday, charged with violating administrative laws and faces up to 10 days in jail. Marco Werman has more.
