Northern Syria bracing for another Turkish invasion

Turkish officials say they are preparing for another ground invasion of northern Syria, targeting an area currently controlled by Kurdish allies of the United States. Turkey says it’s targeting the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or the PKK—a separatist group that it says is responsible for a deadly bombing in Istanbul last month. But human rights groups warn a Turkish invasion could trigger a new exodus of refugees, and worsen an already dire humanitarian crisis in northern Syria.
