NASA’s Artemis 1 to take off on Saturday

The World

Decades after the last person stepped foot on the moon in 1972, NASA is attempting to do it again. Under NASA’s Artemis program, an uncrewed space launch, Artemis 1, is set to take off tomorrow. Nujoud Merancy, chief of NASA’s Exploration and Planning Office, talks to The World’s host Carol Hills about the importance of this mission and how it will eventually bring the first woman and first person of color to the moon in 2024, and the first-ever humans to Mars.
