For centuries, a community of Jews thrived in Mosul, in what is now modern-day Iraq. In the 1950s, most of them fled to Israel, and their history in Mosul was erased. Now, an Iraqi historian is collecting their stories. Rebecca Collard reports on his efforts to revive Mosul’s Jewish past.
