It’s day two of a fire at a landfill in India’s capital, New Delhi. The monumental pile of waste at the Bhalswa dump is taller than a 17-story building and covers over 50 football fields-worth of space. The fire is raging amid a record-breaking heatwave across parts of Pakistan and India. The World’s Host Marco Werman spoke with Bharati Chaturvedi, the founder of Chintan, an environmental research and action group in India, who is based in New Delhi.
