Yet another activity that took off during the pandemic is kite flying. In Brazil, at least, the long-popular kite battles that kids wage, to cut each other’s strings, and be the last kite in the sky, have turned into a full-fledged adult obsession. Michael Fox reports that the lengths people will go to have a sharp string has become dangerous.
