India announces dates for world’s largest election

Almost a billion people will head to the polls over seven phases, or dates, in India. The country’s election commission announced the dates of the polling on Saturday. They will begin on April 19 with the last election being held on June 1. Results are expected on June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist BJP party are expected to win.
