Trade ministers in the European Union are challenging the eco-friendly subsidies in the US Inflation Reduction Act. A retaliatory policy like the “Buy European Act,” promoted by France could potentially ignite a trade war between the US and Europe. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with Elvire Fabry, a senior research fellow on the geopolitics of trade at the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris.
