Colombian drug cartel seizes roads, holds hostages after leader’s extradition

A drug cartel in Colombia’s north has blocked roads and held residents hostage following the extradition of its leader, known as “Otoniel,” to the United States. To understand the current situation, The World’s host Marco Werman spoke with Jeremy McDermott, the co-founder of InSight Crime, a journalism nonprofit covering organized crime in the Americas.
