Brazil’s vaccination success owes something to a 1980s cartoon character

Despite a slow start, Brazil is now leading the United States in the number of people to have received their first shots. Possibly due to this vaccination effort, the country appears to have avoided a COVID-19 delta variant surge. Michael Fox reports that many public health experts credit the success of the vaccination campaign, at least in part, to a beloved cartoon character in the shape of a droplet called Ze Gotinha.
