As tensions rise between Australia and China, so does the election rhetoric

This weekend, Australia will choose a new prime minister and one of the major points of contention between the candidates is China policy. Australia’s recent security concerns over a secretive deal between nearby Solomon Islands and regional power China is only the latest in tensions that have been escalating over the past decade. Host Marco Werman spoke with Jennifer Hsu, a research fellow at the Australian policy think tank the Lowy Institute. She joined the show from Sydney, Australia.
