The World

Today is the first day of school across Ukraine. UNICEF just released a report on the devastating impacts of war on Ukrainian students’ education, especially those near the frontlines. In the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, close to the frontline, English teacher Kateryna Mechet told The World that students learned how to stay safe from air strikes on their first day back in class.
