The US plans to send Marines to the Persian Gulf to protect commercial ships

The Biden administration is looking into plans to send Marines and Navy personnel to the Strait of Hormuz to protect commercial ships from Iranian aggressions. The news follows a series of tit-for-tat actions by the US and Iran. In recent months Iran has seized several tankers in the Persian Gulf and the US has done the same to at least two Iranian ships near Texas. The World’s Shirin Jaafari brings us the latest.
