New El Niño weather pattern has arrived and could be bad news for global temperatures

The world has entered a new El Niño phase, a regular weather pattern that comes every two to seven years. But this year, scientists worry it could be a “super El Niño” and rising global temperatures could make its impacts worse. The World’s host Carol Hills spoke to Chris Callahan, a climate scientist at Dartmouth College. He joined the show from Hanover, New Hampshire.
