Push within BRICS bloc to add new members, counter West

Late last week officials from over a dozen countries met with counterparts from the group of five countries known as BRICS: representing Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. There’s a push within the bloc to add new members to increase the influence of the global South and counterbalance the power of Western countries like the US. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks to Sanusha Naidu, who is a senior research associate at the Institute for Global Dialogue in South Africa.
