Tunisia is the birthplace of the Arab Spring, and Syria is where protesters witnessed some of the most brutal crackdowns. Today, both countries are “turning a new page,” as one Syrian official recently put it. Syria is being welcomed back to the Arab League with open arms, while Tunisia is becoming more and more autocratic. Is this the final chapter in the Arab Spring story? The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
