Interim Bulgarian govt considers reestablishing contract with Russia’s Gazprom

In April, Russia cut off gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland after those countries refused to pay for the gas in Russian rubles. But a new interim government took over in Bulgaria in June, and the leadership has considered reestablishing a contract with Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned gas supplier. Journalist Ashira Morris talks to The World’s host Marco Werman about the implications of the deal, how Bulgarians are reacting and what it means for the country as an EU and NATO member.
