In April, Russia cut off gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland after those countries refused to pay for the gas in Russian rubles. But a new interim government took over in Bulgaria in June, and the leadership has considered reestablishing a contract with Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned gas supplier.
