Michael Dukakis Assesses the Presidential Campaigns; Harry Lennix Discusses His “Batman v Superman” Role and Hollywood Diversity

The 2016 presidential primary campaigns have been particularly contentious, but it’s hardly the first time there's been negative rhetoric in the race to the White House. Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis can speak from first-hand experience. He faced harsh criticism and frequent attacks as the 1988 Democratic nominee for President. He’s now a visiting professor of public policy at UCLA, focusing on national health care policy reform and, of course, politics. He joins us to assess this year’s presidential races.

Harry Lennix is a familiar face on TV and in the movies – he’s a featured player on NBC’s “The Blacklist,” and he’s reprising his role as General Swanwick from the 2013 Superman film “Man of Steel” in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” opening this weekend. Lennix is also a tireless advocate for diversity in Hollywood and he joins us to talk about his acting career and the ongoing debate over opportunities for people of color in the film industry.
