Fighting has erupted again in Aleppo, something that’s forcing tens of thousands of people to flee the devastated Syrian city. But finding solace and safety has not been so easy, and thousands of refugees and migrants are now being held at the Turkish border.
Turkey already is home to 2.5 million refugees, and officials are appealing to the international community for help.
“We have already received 5,000 of them; another 50,000 to 55,000 are on their way and we cannot leave them there,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said over the weekend.
