Teacher
Ramla Gabriel grew up helping to homeschool siblings and dreaming of becoming a teacher. She went to Mount Holyoke College in her hometown in Western Massachusetts, where she majored in mathematics and minored in education. For over 10 years, she taught middle and high school math and science and helping young people to discover and learn new things about the world they live in. Her career in education has also included 3 years as the Chief Academic Advisor for the Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Program at the University of Massachussets-Amherst. Ramla earned her masters degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, where she did research in microbial oceanography. Currently, she teaches math and engineering at Newcastle College in England.
