Raman Nanda is a freelance journalist and broadcast consultant out of New Delhi.
A multimedia professional, he has worked with, among others, the BBC World Service at the Bush House in London, the Times of India newspaper and India’s parliamentary television news channel, the Lok Sabha TV.
Having done his master’s in economics from the Delhi School of Economics in 1982, Raman began his career with India’s premier news agency, the Press Trust of India.
In the course of a 25 year career as a journalist, he has reported on a range of themes from varied datelines including Kabul, Kathmandu, London, Harare, Geneva, Jerusalem and Morocco. While he writes on politics, economics and social trends, he also has a new found interest: spirituality.
Raman also had a go at media entrepreneurship – he set up ‘India World Radio’, the country’s first independent news and current affairs radio station online.
