Lezak Shallat

Lezak Shallat has been writing on social justice issues from Latin America since the late 1970s. Originally from California, she lived in Central America during the 1980s, and has been based in Santiago, Chile, since 1990. She has written extensively on public health, women’s rights and consumer protection. Ms. Shallat holds a MA degree in Latin America Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
