Edward Gabriel

Edward M. Gabriel has an extensive background in international affairs, having convened multilateral policy forums involving national security, environmental, and trade and energy issues. He has also been active in advising the U.S. government on Mideast policy matters. From November 1997 – March 2001, he was the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Gabriel is a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; a founding member of the American Task Force for Lebanon ; and a board member of AMIDEAST, The Tangier American Legation Museum, the Casablanca American School, the American School of Tangier, and the Keystone Public Policy Center. He is president and CEO of The Gabriel Company, advising American corporations and governments in the Middle East and North Africa on international business projects and policy matters, and is the chairman of the Moroccan American Center, a group of three NGOs based in Washington, D.C. that work on behalf of strengthening Moroccan-U.S. business, political, cultural and security relationships.
