Human rights in the Palestinian territories

Israel’s settlement in the West Bank have long been a point of contention with the Palestinians. Now, a legal ruling to demolish one of those settlements could prove to be a test case for many more.

Monday night, Israel’s parliament passed a law that punishes Israelis who boycott West Bank settlers or their products.

A professor at an Israeli college has endorsed a boycott � against Israel. His stand has proven unpopular with some students who say academic free speech has gone too far. Daniel Estrin reports.
