Kurt Andersen and the actor Campbell Scott talk about the challenges and pleasures of creating artistic personas.

Scott had his first starring film role in Longtime Companion, followed by roles in Singles, Mrs. Parkerand the Vicious Circle, David Mamet’s The Spanish Prisoner, and Big Night, which he co-directed with Stanley Tucci. Last year Scott co-directed and starred in a film of Hamlet set at the turn of the last century. The movie is featured this month in the Florida Film Festival and the Seattle Film Festival.
