#93. @realDonaldTrump, are you satisfied with what you've accomplished in your first 100 days? #100Days100Qs

In just a few days, President Donald Trump will reach a major milestone of his first term in office.

The first 100 days of a new administration has served as a benchmark of prospective presidential progress ever since 1933, when Franklin Roosevelt first entered the Oval Office and passed a flurry of “New Deal” legislation aimed at pulling the country from the brink of economic collapse.

FDR signed an unmatched 76 bills into law during those first months of his presidency. It’s an ambitious yardstick to compare oneself too — but that didn’t deter Donald Trump, who was so confident in his ability to govern that he released a “Contract with the American Voter” that outlined his “100-day action plan to make America Great Again.”

Now that he is closing in on that contract’s deadline, it's time to examine the results.

On April 18, Trump boasted that “no administration has accomplished more in the first 90 days” than his own. Just a few days later, however, he turned to Twitter for some expectations management:

President Trump definitely got Neil Gorsuch confirmed for the Supreme Court, as he alludes in his tweet. But, not unlike Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush before him, the rest of his first days in office haven’t quite gone according to plan.

After promising to repeal and replace the Obama-era Affordable Care Act with his own healthcare plan, the vote was canceled after it became clear there wasn’t enough support in Congress to pass the bill.

Both of President Trump’s executive orders closing off America’s borders to refugees and migrants from six Muslim-majority countries have been blocked by judges around the country.

And the border wall he promised to build between the US and Mexico? Although contractors have pitched their design ideas, Trump and congressional Democrats are stuck in a showdown that could end up in a shutdown of the federal government if they can’t reach a compromise over the funding Trump needs to start building the wall. Tuesday morning, though, there were signs Trump was willing to back away from that as well

Whether or not judging a president’s effectiveness according to their first days in office is a reasonable, President Trump has now spent nearly 100 days in the White House. And that offers a chance to reflect on what he's been able to accomplish — as well as what remains to be done. President Trump, will you tell the American people which of your accomplishments you’re most and least proud of?
