In another blow to the company’s once lauded safety record, Toyota Brazil announced this weekend that it’s recalling Corollas produced between March 2008 and December 2010. The problem is apparently a faulty hose system used when cold starting the car. It may leak gasoline, and thus pose a risk that goes boom. A remote risk, the newspaper O Globo emphasized. Toyota didn’t say how many cars were affected. Last year, 117,428 Corolla’s were recalled within Brazil to fix problems with floor mats.
