JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — As the June 11 kickoff of the World Cup approaches, all eyes are turning to Soweto's colorful Soccer City stadium, which was made to look like a traditional African calabash cooking pot.

The stadium was thoroughly renovated, inside and out, to prepare it for the spotlight of the World Cup.

It will host the opening and closing matches of the World Cup 2010.
