Although Brazil had hoped to have some sections of a proposed $19 billion bullet train finished before the World Cup in 2012, Reuters is saying: perhaps not so much. Citing an unnamed, “high-ranking” government source, the wire service said the tender on the project—which aims to link Rio and Sao Paulo— will be subject to an unknown amount of further delay.
