Amanda Knox: I was sexually harassed in Italian prison

Amanda Knox, recently returned to the U.S. after four years in an Italian prison, told "48 Hours Mystery" she was sexually harassed while incarcerated for the murder of her roommate, reports CBS News.

Peter Van Sant of "48 Hours Mystery" told "The Early Show" Friday that Knox wrote a letter describing the sexual intimidation she allegedly experienced at the hands of the prison guards.

"We learn about sexual harassment inside prison where an administrator would take her up to his office alone at night and say a number of inappropriate things to her, and that left Amanda terrified," Van Sant reportedly said on "The Early Show."

Van Sant was on the show to preview the airing of "48 Hours Mystery" special on the Amanda Knox case, which will broadcast Saturday evening, reports CBS.

As part of the program, parts of Knox's letter will be read, including this excerpt:

"[The prison administrator] was fixated on the topic of sex, with whom I'd done it, how I liked it, if I would like to do it with him. When I realized that he really wanted to talk to me about sex I would try to change the subject…I realize that he was testing me to see if I reacted badly, to understand me personally. He wanted to get a reaction or some information from me. I did not get the seriousness of the situation," Knox allegedly wrote, according to CBS "48 Hours Mystery."

Since Knox's emotional return to her hometown of Seattle on Oct. 4, the competition has been heated over who will tell her story first. According to The Telegraph, experts predict that Knox could make more than seven figures on book deals, speaking engagement, and of course, movie rights.
