Baby really did not want to take a bath.
The oddly named 40-year-old elephant ran away from the circus in southern Ireland on Tuesday, causing some alarm in bystanders.
Amateur video of Baby's bid for freedom shows how her handlers struggled to keep up with her as she ran through a parking lot near a coffee shop in Blackpool, County Cork, according to the Associated Press.
Egle Vilmaite, the manager of the coffee shop, told Ireland's RTE News, "He was running around on his own and then you could see the guys from the circus running around, and the elephant wasn’t happy."
RTE News said Baby was scheduled to perform again after returning to the circus, which she fled because she did not want to take a shower.
The Irish Examiner said an animal rights group was preparing to state a protest against the Courtney Brothers Circus, calling for the circus to stop using elephants and other animals in their shows.
