Video games and other evil tragedy inducers (PHOTOS)

This week's trial in Norway has brought up the issue of violent video games and has resurrected the debate over whether they cause aggresive behavior and instigate actual violence.

GlobalPost reported that Norwegian killer Anders Behring Breivik prepared himself for the bombing and shootings that killed 77 people by playing World of Warcraft and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for a year.

Breivik, however, told the court during his trial that his video game habits have, "nothing to do with July 22. It is not a world you are engulfed by. It is quite simply a hobby," The New York Times reported.

Video games aren't alone. Take a look at a few other people or activities that in recent years have been, debatably, used as scapegoats for violence and anti-social behavior.
