Secret Service agent posted on Facebook that he was ‘checking out’ Sarah Palin

In 2008, Secret Service agent David Randall Chaney kept an extra close eye on Sarah Palin.

“I was really checking her out, if you know what i mean?” Chaney wrote on Facebook, the Washington Post reported

Chaney, who had been a supervisor in the Secret Service’s international programs division, retired Wednesday in response to a separate controversy, the Secret Service's prostitution scandal in Colombia

Chaney is among the 11 Secret Service employees that have so far been linked to the scandal, CNN reported

The Secret Service announced Wednesday that three employees connected to the scandal, including Chaney, are leaving the agency, the Post reported.

"I wouldn't be surprised if you saw more dismissals and more being forced out sooner rather than later," Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican and chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, told the Associated Press.

Chaney, 48, had posted to Facebook several photographs of himself on duty in 2008. The Post found those pictures after Chaney's name was released in the wake of the Colombia scandal. One picture shows him behind Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee. It was on that photo that he made the comment about "checking her out."

In an interview with Fox News, Palin mocked Chaney for leering at her:

"Well, check this out, bodyguard. You're fired," she said.
