Sandy Hook shooting: Experts say Asperger’s not linked to violence

In the wake of the Newtown, Conn. shootings, people are questioning whether there is a connection between Asperger's Syndrome and violence.
According to Heath Day, experts said there is causal relationship.
Asperger’s is "a mild form of autism often characterized by social awkwardness," Fox News reported, which describes the gunman Adam Lanza.
There is speculation that Lanza had Asperger's Syndrome and the Associated Press confirmed law enforcement officials speaking on condition of anonymity said Lanza had been diagnosed with the disease.
Police said Lanza fatally shot his mother before going to Sandy Hook Elementary School where he killed 20 children and six adults. He then committed suicide.
Classmates, friends and family described the gunman as "bright, but painfully shy, anxious and a loner," according to Fox.
