Principal accused of planting hidden camera in high school locker room

A middle school principal is accused of planting a hidden camera in another school's student locker room. Wendee Long, the principal at Wayside Middle School in Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested on charges of improper photography and wiretapping and was placed on administrative leave, WFAA reported.
Court documents say that Long, 46, was upset with her daughter's high school basketball coach, because she thought the coach was too stern on the young athletes. But Long allegedly took an unusual approach to dealing with the situation: she had her 17-year-old daughter help her hide a cell phone camera in the Argyle High School girls' locker room in order to catch the coach yelling at the girls. Someone later anonymously mailed the footage to school board members in Argyle, WFAA said.

Long, 46, had been the principal at Wayside Middle School for five years, ABC News reported. While she maintains that she broke no laws, other mothers have expressed concerns about the filming.
“I don’t understand why someone would go to those lengths to break a law to try to get something to go the way they want it to go," Julie Sheridan, whose daughter was in the locker room as it was being filmed, told ABC.
The footage didn't capture anything inappropriate, and Long's daughter has not been charged, the Star-Telegram reported. Long is currently out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
