Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City (PHOTOS)

NEW YORK — Hundreds of protesters joined the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York City, as it marked its first anniversary on Monday.

Protesters gathered in Battery Park, near the National Museum of the American Indian and in Zuccotti Park to draw attention to a variety of causes from campaign finance reform, to the environment and labor unions.

Around 135 arrests were reported as of 3:45 p.m., according to the Guardian.
