Occupy May Day!

Occupy Wall Street is gearing up for a massive day of protests, rallies and marches on May 1.
The anti-capitalist movement will hold events in 125 cities and plans to protest 99 targets in midtown Manhattan including the offices of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Bank of America.
In San Francisco, plans include efforts to shut down the Golden Gate Bridge. A full listing of events include direct actions centered around Union Square in New York and musical performances by Das Racist, Dan Deacon and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine.
Bloomberg News reported the world’s biggest banks are working with one another and the New York Police Department (NYPD) to share information about the protests, according to industry security consultants.
That is just the type of alliance the Occupy movement has criticized in the past, arguing the banks are powerful entities that put their own self interests and profits ahead of everyday citizens.

According to the Occupy Wall Street website while the media has focused on the presidential election, the group "has been organizing something extraordinary: the first truly nationwide General Strike in US history" on May Day, also known as, International Workers' Day.
The Occupy movement is calling for protesters to boycott work, school, banking, housework and shopping calling it "a day without the 99%."
