President Barack Obama talked about guns, football and Hillary Clinton in two new interviews on Sunday.
Obama told The New Republic if he had a son he would "have to think long and hard before I let him play football."
Obama, who is a longtime Chicago Bears fan said he worries about college players getting hurt and thinks fans "are going to have to wrestle with the fact that [American football] will probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence."
When asked if he had ever fired a gun, Obama responded, "Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time… And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake."
The comments come on the heels of Obama's new gun control proposals following the recent mass shooting at a school in Newtown, Conn.
Obama also had some very nice things to stay about his outgoing Secretary of State.
In their first joint interview together, Obama and Clinton sat down with CBS’ 60 Minutes.
“Hillary will go down as one of the finest secretaries of state we've had,” the President told 60 Minutes. “It has been a great collaboration over the last four years. I'm going to miss her, wish she was sticking around but she has logged in so many miles I can't begrudge her wanting to take it easy for a little bit.”
The interview airs Sunday evening in the US and is the President’s only joint interview with anyone other than Michelle Obama.
