Nor’easter hits storm-damaged areas (PHOTOS)

A nor'easter brought freezing temperatures and snow to areas already badly damaged by superstorm Sandy on Wednesday, complicating recovery efforts in New York and New Jersey.

The Associated Press noted that it left hundreds of thousands of new people without power after the blanket of thick, wet snow downed power lines and trees already weakened by the previous storm.

Around 750,000 people, more than 200,000 of them from the new storm, remained without power in the region in freezing temperatures.
