Meningitis outbreak rises to over 200 cases: CDC
The outbreak of fungal meningitis has been traced to the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.
The deadly outbreak of meningitis has now surpassed 200 cases in the US.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported seven new cases of fungal meningitis, which brings the number to 205 in 14 states, Reuters reported.
The outbreak of the disease has been linked to vials of a steroid medication that could have been tainted.

Reuters said 15 people have died so far, according to the CDC – with new cases reported in New Hampshire, Florida, Indiana, and Tennessee.
The BBC reported the drugs were traced back to the Massachusetts' New England Compounding Center, which recalled its products last week.
Complaints against the pharmaceutical company were filed in both 2002 and 2003, the BBC wrote.
The CDC said the state of Michigan is among those hardest hit with 41 cases and three deaths.
